Space and silence, alone and ancient

Silence and space.
We have forgotten
We are alone
But we’re only forgetting,
And the paint peels off the wall.

Surrounding ourselves with noise, babble,
We don’t like the darkness of
The garden anymore
And its boisterous treasures,
But we ignore that truly
Only the earth stays solid below us
And it could be us and her only
If something happened or we
Stepped aside, and in reality
Everything and body passes around us.

Only things like objects
Can we cling on to discriminately,
Instruments even better, as we
Begin to look like robots.
But they are empty ships,
Sailing no ocean.
The earth stays solid.

Space and silence.
We are alone and ancient.
