Taking sides

Our sense of reality has an underlying network of simple contradictions that are difficult to get over. That's the complexity...

That is why I am sure that in art, which is "Life, take two!", I am a minimalist. At least today. If I have to take sides.

Because taking sides can narrow down, in the undesireable way that acts af is things were complex in a non-puzzling way, like a lawbook. Instead of the other way around.

I understand and can appreciate the barroque, intricate and overcharged. Even the cramming of sixty-four notes in a ten second time lapse. The intention and impressions behind it move me.

And I'm glad it exists to make subtlety glow.
